First, make a copy of your itinerary to give to a trusted friend. This way, if there is an emergency and there is no cell phone reception, you are not entirely off the radar.
Prior to boarding the RV for a long drive, owners should make sure to do a thorough inspection to check for anything that could lead to a potential “roadside disaster.” Make sure everything is in working order and do not rush through maintenance procedures.
It is also important to research what the weather and road conditions will be like. There’s nothing worse than being unprepared for hazardous weather, especially when considering the recent tornadoes that have been ripping through the south.
Lastly, never leave for your vacation without recreational vehicle insurance. You can never predict an accident and the policy will help protect your investment against any damage.
