The resort encompasses over 200 acres of Oceanfront Accommodations, including Campsites, RV Sites, Rental Villas and Individual Owned Properties with access to the Beach. Lakewood Camping Resort has a half-mile stretch of sandy beach and is located on the South end of Myrtle Beach with shopping, dining and entertainment just minutes away.
Groups of all sizes are welcome. Lakewood facilities can cater to any number, and its Information Center can be used for a variety of functions. The Coffee House is great for smaller, more personal gatherings and the Lakewood Conference Center is ideal for weddings, receptions, banquets, dances and corporate functions.
The young and young at heart will enjoy the resort’s outdoor pool with slide, or challenge the family to compete in Water Wars, a water balloon toss your whole family will enjoy. Take a ride on our Hippo Slide, a 30-foot high inflated water slide on our oceanfront.
Mini-golf, paddle boats and kayaks, bicycles, horseshoes, basketball, game room and scheduled events including High Steppin’ Country. Families can enjoy all these Amenities for only $5 per day per site.
The heated Indoor Pool is oceanfront with a Sun Deck looking out over the Atlantic. You can enjoy your time leisurely or show up for our aquatic exercise classes. We also have scheduled hours for Adults Only.
Other Guest Conveniences include: The Trading Post for camping supplies, groceries, and gift items. The Trading Post Snack Bar for meals, snacks, ice cream and shakes. The Coffee Shop, featuring high quality whole bean specialty coffees, traditional, espresso and iced blended coffee drinks; teas and tea based drinks, breakfast sandwiches, hot toasted bagels, muffins, scones and other delicious bakery items. The Stage Door Cafe` and Snappy Zappy’s Pizzeria offer more tasty treats during your stay with us.
The Information Center is home to many of our activities, get-togethers, and Kid’s Club. Our Covered Amphitheater is proud to house High Steppin’ Country, the longest running show on the Grand Strand and is included in our Amenities Package.
The Conference Center is great for weddings, banquets, receptions, rally groups, corporate gatherings and numerous other events.
