The Rally is an annual event cosponsored by the Good Sam Club and our friends at Camping World, Trailer Life Publications, and Coast to Coast. We build an instant city of RVs, with activities jam-packed with informative seminars, outstanding entertainment each evening, the latest and greatest display of new RVs of all sizes, hundreds of RV accessory display booths, and of course, thousands of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet… fellow RV owners!
Redmond, Oregon
Redmond is a relatively small but thriving community, located just north of its more well-known neighbor, Bend. With beautiful views of Oregon’s Three Sisters in the Cascade Mountain Range, the high desert climate attracts visitors who love the beautiful scenery and the adventures provided by central Oregon’s outdoors — hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, white water rafting, horseback riding, and more. And, as in the past, the local community makes us feel very welcome.
This year’s Rally will take place July 14 through 17, in Redmond, Oregon — a Rally site which was so enjoyable, we just had to go back. As in past years, the Deschutes County Fairgrounds will be filled with RVs of all shapes and sizes, and of course, their owners, having a great time!
Exhibits
- 1,000 new RVs on display
- 400 booths selling everything an RVer might need
- Daily Seminars provide useful information and knowledge on all aspects of the RV lifestyle.
Entertainment 
Each evening, there’s fabulous entertainment, highlighted by a performance by Bobby Vinton, who’s plethora of hits include “Blue Velvet”, “Mr. Lonely”, and “Roses Are Red”… just a few of the 75 million recordings he’s sold during his career!
Yet another evening will feature Peter Noone, better known as Herman of Herman’s Hermits, part of the “British Invasion” which took place in the ’60s and ’70s. Everyone at the Rally will be singing along to their popular hits, including “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter”, “I’m Henry the Eighth, I am”, and “There’s a Kind of Hush All Over the World Tonight”.

Let’s Eat!
Each day of the Rally is hosted by one of the sponsoring organizations, and our favorite day, Good Sam Day, will take place on July 17. The highlight of that day will be “Let’s Eat”, a food sampling event, where Rally guests will be able to vote for their favorite dish — all produced by fellow Good Sam members. Throughout the first part of 2011, Good Sam chapters will be competing at many of our State Samborees and other local events with food sampling, representing the favorite recipes of their area of the country. Each state and Canadian province has the opportunity to select a winning recipe, which will represent that state/province at the Rally. They’ll be serving food to all Rally guests, and guests can then vote for their favorite.
