More than 100 National Parks will waive entrance fees on September 24 for Public Lands Day and again on November 11-13 for Veterans Day weekend. These special days are a great opportunity to explore many of our national treasures at a significant savings.

Public Lands Day (September 24) is also your chance to volunteer in the annual effort to clean up and make improvements to parks. Those who volunteer will earn a coupon for a fee-free return visit—a savings of  $100 or more at many parks.

In addition to entrance fees, other fees waived on fee-free days include commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fees. Fees such as reservation, camping, park tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included, though many park concession operators will welcome visitors with special offers on fee-free days.
