UPDATED: The Texas Association of Campground Owners has identified 41 campgrounds and RV parks with space available for Hurricane Harvey evacuees, including parks in Houston and Galveston.

“Texas park owners have opened their hearts and their parks. They are receiving countless evacuees and helping them while the storm passes and the cleanup begins. It will be a long process but together we will get through it,” said Brian Schaeffer, executive director and CEO of the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO).

Schaeffer encourages hurricane evacuees to check TexasCampgrounds.com and TexasCabinRentals.net to locate Texas parks that are far enough away from the coast to escape the brunt of the storm.
