There are other ways to visit the Grand Canyon without driving, including taking the train from nearby Williams, Arizona. If you want to get a bird’s eye view of the canyon you can take a helicopter tour courtesy of Maverick Helicopter tours.

We took the train trip from Williams, AZ with our two kids, ages 12 and 8, in October of 2007 and had a blast! We actually took the train to the canyon (riding in the club car), stayed a couple of days, and then took the train back to Williams. Our son especially enjoyed the on-board entertainment and the theatrical “train robbery” that occurred on the way back to Williams.

I guess this segment is not ment for me—The train segment stated that you have a few hours to see the canyon—You can’t see it in a few days—And the helicopter!!! the only big bird I want to see or hear in the Canyon is the majestic Condor. I believe that any aircraft should not be allowed to fly over any national park .
