Good Sam Club donates $191,036 to Dogs for the Deaf
Dogs for the Deaf celebrated its 35th anniversary with great fanfare last year. To mark the milestone, the Good Sam Club contributed a generous $191,036 in 2012, including donations from individual members, regional chapters and the club itself.

Sam’s Radio Hams has topped this list for the past 11 years in a row, and chapter members were eager to help out behind the scenes last year at the 35th anniversary event, hosted by actress Betty White.
Last year’s number two chapter, the Square Samers, sent members Ken and Nancy Vallier to Dogs for the Deaf’s Oregon headquarters to make their substantial donation in person.
For those unfamiliar with Dogs for the Deaf, the nonprofit organization is North America’s oldest and largest Hearing Dog institution, providing dogs free of charge to people with a variety of challenges, from autism to hearing loss. For the past 34 years, the Good Sam Club has played a vital role in Dogs for the Deaf’s success and longevity.
In recognition of Good Sam Club’s continued support, Dogs for the Deaf rewards the chapters that donate the most in their state with Top Dog flags and patches:
