Casino Parks are a Jackpot for RVer
RVers no longer have Vegas or Atlantic City as their only options when feeling lucky. Travelers can gamble any which across the country. Not all states allow gambling, of course, but enough of them do to accommodate RVers willing to hit the road to explore a wide variety of casinos and their adjacent RV parks, many of which feature attractions far beyond gambling.

Terrible’s Lakeside Casino and RV Park
Pahrump, Nevada
In the shadow of Mt. Charleston, RVers can try their luck at fishing on the nearly 7-acre man-made lake, or they can try to hook themselves a jackpot in the swanky casino. Located about an hour northwest of Las Vegas and light-years away from the bustle of the Strip, Terrible’s Lakeside is very popular among snowbirds and rally so RVers intending to visit would be wise to make early reservations.
The park, four miles west of Highway 160, features 30- and 50-amp connections, cable TV and concrete patios, the sites average 55 feet in length.

Casino Queen Hotel Casino RV Park
East St. Louis, Illinois
From a lawn chair in their campsites, RVers can watch the sun set over the St. Louis Arch and the Mississippi River. In the foreground of this gorgeous vista sits the Casino Queen Hotel and Casino, a short shuttle-ride away from the RV sites, some of which are 70 feet long. The RV park is closed November through February.
Coushatta Casino Resort/Red Shoes RV Park
Kinder, Louisiana
In southwestern Louisiana, 23 miles north of I-10, sits the Coushatta Casino Resort. The casino features slot machines, table games and a poker room. The adjacent Red Shoes RV Park has enough amenities – a two-acre lake; tennis, basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard courts; a swimming pool; and two bathhouses. The RV park also offers a shuttle.
Deadwood, South Dakota
Deadwood is an RVer’s dream, with two steller Good Sam Parks to choose from around town.
Whistler Gulch RV Parks and Campground (9/9.5*/9) offers a unique experience for all of its visitors. As a former gold mining encampment, this premier vacation destination still has a feel of the old wild west.

The Yakima Nation Resort RV Park located in Yakima, WA. has over 100 sites all with concrete pads and lots of grass. There is a family pool and meeting room, the casino is located across the road but not in walking distance. There is a nice paved walking path around the perimeter of the park. A great park with full hookups in located in Mayetta, Kansas just outside of Topeka. The Prairie Band Casino & Resort RV Park. All sites have grass and concrete pads. Great place to walk pets. Clean restroom and laundry facilities. 18 hole golf course is just across the road.

We have stayed at Turning Stone Villages RV Park in New York a number of times. It is one of the most lovely parks we’ve stayed in. There’s free shuttles to the casino and the park is just wonderful for walking around in after driving all day. We now go every spring and fall (they are open year-round).

Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen MN has full hookups, large sites, low prices, and some of the nicest restroom/shower facilities I have ever been in.
Grand Casino at Hinckley, MN has a full service Good Sam campground complete with clubhouse, golf, mini-golf, a small camp store, lots of sites, a free shuttle across the huge parking lot to the casino. Adjacent to the campground and also part of the property is a Comfort Suites.

How about the East. Foxwoods in Ledyard, CT. and Mohegan Sun in Montville CT. Both of these offer a large parking area for RV’s . This would be dry camping and you can stay for five days by registering with security. both provide shuttle service.

We would highly recommend the Durant KOA which is adjacent to the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. Full hookups with door to door shuttle service. They have several nice restaurants from fast food to a nice steakhouse.
There is also a fairly new casino called Dowstream which is located at Exit 1 in Missouri on I-44 outside on Joplin, Missouri.. They have several water and electric sites with the first three days being free if you obtain a player’s card. They are also building a much larger campgrounds which should be ready by later summer. This casino also offers shuttle service every 15 minutes.

We have wintered in the Gulf for the last 6-8 years and have stayed in the regular RV parks in both Kinder and Alexandria in Louisiana, both are great and I thought very reasonable, with good buftet’s. I have seen dry campers in their parking lots with RVs for all that time and never seen them have a problem. These are good casino’s to support and my wife has had some luck in both areas, much to see in a radious around both too.

Jackson Rancheria Casino near Jackson California. The Cardinal RV Club http://www.cardinalrvclub.org has held our spring Southwest Rally at Jackson Rancheria RV park for the last 4 years and will be there again in May 2012. Our members enjoy the beautiful setting, the Casino shuttles to the casino, the dining at the restaurants and the 26 wineries in the area as well as all of the Gold Country towns in Amador County and sourrounding area.
This park has been rated as one of the top 100 by Good Sam Club and the staff is excellent and they have long and wide concrete sites with full hookups, wifi, swimming pool, hot tubs and a beautiful clubhouse.

There is also a casino in upstate NY, near Syracuse, called Turning Stone Resort/Casino. They have a great RV park, excellent golf (five courses – 3 are 18 hole) and excellent spa facilities.

Jackson Rancheria Casino near Jackson, California on the senic Highway 49 has a great campground with full hook-ups. A shuttle will take you to the casino about 5 minutes or less away. Sites are easy to get into and have concrete slabs. Rates – Sunday through Thursday, $40 back-in, $45 pull-through – Friday and Saturday, $45 back-in, $50 pull-through. They have lots of emenities including WiFi. We really enjoyed our meals and time spent there and will return.

The two best casino RV parks in Louisiana is Paragon RV Resort in Marksville, LA with constant shuttle service every 15 minutes. They have Executive sites with fence on each side of you with swing; course there is only about 8 of this type; the rest are all concrete pads, concrete picnic table, trash can at every other site; very reasonable rates and very nice pool.
Also, another park is Red Shoe RV Park at Coushatta Casino located in Kinder, LA., off main highway, nice park, very nice large pool, shuttle service, trash cans at every site, concrete pads, picnic wood or metal tables. Very good rates, which stay may be comped depending on how much you spend at the casino. Same for all casino’s I assume. Fixing to explore Lake Charles, and Shreveport.

One nice Casino RV park in the Northwest is 7 Feathers in Canyonville, OR. The RV is nicely laid out. They have a huge swimming pool. The restrooms are very clean. As far as I can remember there is not a bit of asphalt in the place….All concrete. The pads are roomy and easy to get into. They have casino shuttles running constantly.
The Canyonville is located on I-5 approximately 20 miles south of Roseburg, OR….There is a lot of history in the area….

When in Tunica, MS, I’ve found Hollywood’s RV park very nice and is just a quick walk to the casino, especially if you’re handicapped. When up in Michigan, I enjoy Soaring Eagle in Mt Pleasant which allows you to stay in a parking lot or at the nicely wooded campground with 24 hr shuttle service. Saganing’s Soaring Eagle has just put in a new campground and are bending over backwards to accommodate RVers. Also, at Mannistee, MI, Little River Casino has a great campground with very quick on-call shuttle service and great amenities. In the U.P. of Michigan I really enjoy Brimley and their two casinos (with shuttle service between) and a relatively new campground. I feel as long as I can get electric, water, and sewer or dumpstation with reasonably pleasant service, I’m there and if they make it convenient for me to squander my money, I’ll go back.

One of our favorite casino/RV park is called Silver Mountain Casino in Grande Round, Ore. No full hook ups but you can get water and there is a place to dump and a service station is next door. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
