Hemet is a great place to camp because of its proximity to other Southern California attractions. Palm Springs, Lake Arrowhead, and downtown LA are less than two hours away. The Golden Village Palms RV Resort is a first-rate park for peace and quiet while maintaining easy freeway access for day trips to places like Disneyland or the San Diego Zoo!
Golden Village Palms RV Resort is a secluded luxury resort open year-round. It hosts 1,000 paved and beautifully landscaped sites with full hookups (30/50 amp service, plus cable TV) that are up to 90 ft. long with room for slideouts. They have good paved interior roads with a private escort to help guide you into your site. The resort’s sparkling, modern restrooms feature accessible showers. A public pay phone, laundry facilities and free guest computers in the library are available for your convenience. You can get WiFi Internet access at your site for an extra fee. Propane, ice and filtered water are also available. Get moving in the exercise room, which is full of modern weights and equipment, or join in the water aerobics at the pool.
Unwind in one of three heated outdoor pools and spas, each with poolside grills and patios for family cook-outs. Start your days with a cup of coffee over the local newspaper. Or pick up a book at the resort library for some poolside reading material.
The resort features volleyball courts, a putting green, billiard room and horseshoe pits for your recreational pleasure. Golden Village Palms boasts the world’s largest indoor shuffleboard court, so challenge some new friends to a match to give it a try. Rates: Nightly rates for two people range from $42 for a Standard site to $55 for an Elite site. Weekly and monthly rates are available for longer stays. Extra fees may apply for additional guests, pets or a second vehicle.
Pets: Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a 6 ft. leash at all times. Please pick up all pet waste, and only walk dogs in designated areas. Visit several wineries in the Temecula Valley for a wine tasting, just 30 miles south of the Golden Village Palms resort. For those with a lucky streak, three Indian gaming casinos are minutes away: Pechanga (in Temecula), Morongo (in Cabazon) and Soboba (in San Jacinto). If golf is your thing, the RV resort offers special rates on greens fees for several area golf courses.
Explore the parks, lakes and beaches in the area to soak up that California sun. For a change of pace, visit a museum or art gallery, or cruise the malls and outlet stores for some great deals on shopping! You may have trouble deciding what to do first, but one thing’s for sure: you’ll never be bored!
Climate: You’ll get plenty of warm sunshine in Hemet! The inland valleys are much warmer than the coast, with summer highs easily into the upper 80s and even low 100s with low humidity. But sundown brings pleasant temperatures as the air cools off a bit. Remember to bring a hat and sunscreen to protect your skin from the heat and sun!
