1 – (B) The Arctic Circle is currently about 66.5 degrees north of the Equator.  I say, currently, as the actual line moves slightly each year in a one hundred year cycle.

2 – (D) The General Motors P chassis used the 454 cu. in. gas engine.

3 – (A) 10 hours would use 200 amp hours from the battery which would equal the 50% level.  This is the level that batteries must be recharged without damaging them.

4 – (A) Lake George is in The Adirondack Mountain range in New York State.

5 – (B) British thermal units, or more often called B.T.U.

6 – (D) Even numbered Interstate highway are always east and west,  Odd numbered always go north and south.

7 – (A) I90 is the longest interstate in the country.  It runs east and west.

8 – (C) Yosemite Falls, California is located in the Yosemite National Park.

    Got 9 right. Have been to all of the places mentioned. Missed the waterfall one though.

  3. Jim, The key word “Should” was used not “Would” Therefore the 50% maximum was part of the correct answer. You can still have the 9.5 though and thanks for challenging the question.

    Got 9 correct; missed #3 – I think it was poorly worded. There was no mention of 50% etc., etc. the correct answer as worded would be 40. So I will compromise and take a 9.5 . . . .
