Human Encounters with Bears Turn Deadly

Recent media reports detail numerous human encounters with black bears. In most instances the bears became food-conditioned, lost their natural fear of humans, and become a threat as they roamed in search of an easy meal. These bear was either relocated or euthanized by rangers because they posed an obvious human safety risk to campers.
