RV Halloween parties for humans and pets.
Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore — it’s a family fun celebration for RVing pets, too! As leaves turn and temperatures fall, campgrounds everywhere are gearing up for spooktacular Halloween festivities like RV park Halloween pet parades, trick-or-treating, costume contests and dances.
Where to Find RV Park Halloween Pet Parties
Don’t winterize your RV just yet. The whole family and pets too can enjoy an extended camping season at RV park Halloween events around the country. From small, mom and pop RV parks in the Midwest to large luxury resorts in Florida, spirited RV parks put on spooky RV decorating contests, monster mash masquerade balls, pumpkin carving and Halloween pet parades. Just be sure to make your reservations early, as some locations book up weeks in advance. Some of the most well-known RV park Halloween parties take place in locations such as:
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Natural Bridge
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Natural Bridge holds one of the most well-known events known as “Terror on Jellystone Mountain.” Building on the haunted history of the Shenandoah Valley and the backwoods of Virginia, campers revel in hair-raising fun like wagon rides, a non-scary haunted house with fun tricks and treats, costume contests for pets and people, dances and lots of candy.
Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach
Newly reopened after Hurricane Florence, the beachfront Ocean Lakes Family Campground is carrying on their long tradition of Halloween fun. The RV park’s Halloween pet parade takes place the weekend before the 31st and includes prizes for best dressed, most unique, cutest, funniest, and best of show pet costumes. The entry fee of just $5 per pet helps out a local non-profit animal welfare group.
Green Mountain Ghouls
At Green Mountain RV Park in Lenoir, North Carolina, Halloween revelers are invited to enter their animals into a pet costume contest. The Halloween celebration also features awards for best-decorated campsites and a haunted trail.
In Statesville, North Carolina, Midway Campground and RV Resort pulls out all of the Halloween stops during a festival that includes a Dress Up Contest for humans and their pets. The Midway Wicked Woods features features music, games and more.
