Hello campers everywhere,
Leave a comment and we’ll donate a non-perishable food item. It’s that simple. Join forces with the RV Cooking Show, in partnership with Best Parks in America, in honor of Memorial Day to help feed some of the reported 36+ million American’s that go to bed hungry. It’s called “food insecurity” and in plain speak it means that even in this country a large number of hard-working adults, children and seniors simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals or even days. Exaggerated by an unstable economy, these are our neighbors, our co-workers, folks we pass in the park, new friends we meet at the library.
While it’s true that many of us across the nation – even the globe – are on the edge one thing we all have to give is time. Please consider taking the time, just a few minutes right now, to participate in this RV Cooking Show Online Food Drive.
Here’s what to do:
- Visit the RV Cooking Show Online Food Drive blog entry
- Leave a comment about someone that’s made a difference in your life in honor of our all-American Memorial Day holiday. It can be a single word, an illustrative story or anything in between. We’re accepting comments between now and Monday, May 25th.
- Publish your comment anonymously or with your Google sign in – it doesn’t matter – I’m not collecting any information at all.
- For each comment on the RV Cooking Show Online Food Drive blog entry – maximum 3 per person/per week – the RV Cooking Show, in partnership with Best Parks in America, will donate 1 item of non-perishable food to a local food bank in the area we are traveling through.
Honor someone you love, have an impact on someone’s life, make a difference. Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I, for one, would like to see hungry children, seniors – all Americans get a decent meal. Go ahead, click on the blog link and leave a comment right now, while you’re online – it’s easy, free and so meaningful. Please pass this message along – together we are powerful!

Everyone’s life has been touched by a good soul. Leave a comment – it can be anonymous if you wish – and, in conjunction with Best Parks in America, I’ll donate a food item to the local food bank.
I’m not collecting any info – just comments – 1 comment = 1 food item donated.
Visit http://rvcookingshow.blogspot.com/2009/05/rv-cooking-show-online-food-drive.html and read some of the extremely moving and inspirational comments then leave your own.
Do it now – while you are online. You’ll help a hungry American, have an opportunity to honor someone special in your life, and guess what, it feels very good – and only costs you a few moments of your time.
See you at the RV Cooking Show Online Food Drive! http://rvcookingshow.blogspot.com/2009/05/rv-cooking-show-online-food-drive.html
Thanks campers – Evanne
