Recreational Activities with Pets

Canoeing with dogEvery day, people travel with their pets. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, they are always on the go. When they are off the road, they may go to the beach, visit dog parks or just have their companions with them wherever they may be throughout the day. In their down-time, they may play Frisbee or catch with a tennis ball or some other sort of fun activity with their four-legged friend. What are some other recreational activities you do with your pets? Some people like to kayak, canoe, ski, surf, rollerblade, skijorling, etc. Any hanggliders or whitewater rafters? Skydivers?

Of course, the main thing is to always keep your pets safe and protected whatever recreational activity you undertake with them. Let us hear about the interesting and fun times you have with your pets!

Happy Pet Travels!

My main objection to taking either/both of our Labs RV’ing with us is that being a “dog on a rope” isn’t fun for them or us. Stepping in some one else’s poo isn’t all that great, either. They’d rather stay home and chase rabbits on the farm.

During duck season, they go along and have ample opportunity to run, swim. sniff and roll in stuff. At the end of the day, they’re worn out and happy. Summer camping in crowded parks isn’t all that great for large dogs. Last time out, two TT groups had two pitbulls chained to trees at a state park. Wonderful time ruined for everyone by cretins.
