Camp Hither Hills has been a Good Sam Park for over 30 years and is conveniently located 12 miles (18 kms) from Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa.

- The Canadian Tulip Festival: May 11 – 21. This annual world-famous festival displays over a million tulips blooming in public area in Ottawa.
- Northern Lights: Sound and Light Show: July 10 to September 3, 2018. Discover the stories of Canada as told through a spectacle of giant images of Canada’s physical, historical, and cultural landscapes in this free bilingual evening show. All projected on the façade of the Centre Block.
- The Annual Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival: June 21 – 24. This action packed weekend for the whole family features nonstop boat racing, free concerts and great food.
- And make sure you don’t miss Canada’s 151st birthday on July 1. When visiting Parliament Hill take time to watch the Changing of the Guard which begins June 26 and ends August 21.
Downtown Ottawa
Ottawa is renowned for it’s cultural attractions in the downtown core. Discover Canadian history, priceless world-class art, and heroic tales of those who fought bravely for Canada. There’s also enormous dinosaur fossils and the world’s largest indoor collection of totem poles. Ottawa’s many national museums have something to offer everyone, no matter what your interests might be.
The city of Gatineau, Quebec is located across the river from Ottawa. If you would like to experience French culture and cuisine just take the short drive over the bridge. A must see is Jacques Cartier Park, home to 2017’s famous horticultural displays.
