The Five Beaches!
The island is known as Savannah’s Beach and with good reason. Three public oceanfront and two Savannah River beaches await your fun and frolic. They are Tybee North, Mid and South Beach and the Savannah River and Back River Beaches.
The most happening place is South Beach. It features soft sands, waves and great views making it ideal for surfing, fishing on the Tybee Pier and Pavilion and sunbathing. Just a few steps away from South Beach are shops, bars, and restaurants making it a place where beach lovers can do it all!
Tybee Island Events
Tybee Island is a lively place year round with musical acts, parades, craft shows, local cuisine and fitness experiences. Something is always happening here. Popular upcoming events include:
