You can relax by the swimming pool, explore our 112 wooded acres while hiking on our trails, go fishing to catch your dinner at one of our six stocked fishing ponds, (No license needed), watch your pets have fun in our dog park and see your kids safely riding bikes on our paved streets and having fun in the playground, play cards or games in our spacious club house or just enjoy chatting with our other campers while roasting marshmallows during our Saturday night communal campfires.

All our big rig friendly FHU sites have cable TV and Wi-Fi, picnic table and fire-pit. Our campground store carry not only necessary items, but exquisite crafts created by local artists.

Stay more than one day at Scenic Mountain and you will experience true Southern hospitality in this quaint town that once was Georgia’s Capital. Upon checking in you will receive brochures of the many area attractions.

Visiting Milledgeville, Georgia’s Capital during the Civil War and a charming Main Street City is a must if you are interested in History.  Located on the Antebellum Trail, Milledgeville is one of seven historic communities that escaped Sherman’s burning march through Georgia. This Historic Heartland Gem is a town of historical treasures and commanding history. You will be seeing magnificent preserved mansions, haunted historic sites and fascinating museums.

If you can do just one thing during your visit, we suggest the guided trolley tour of Georgia’s Antebellum Capital. It includes a drive through Milledgeville’s historic district and rotating interior visits of several historic landmarks.

Historic sites are not the only attraction that “Milly” has. Its 3 colleges bring youth and energy to the area. Many parents stay with us while visiting their children that are getting their degrees here.
