This will be our first rally in Arizona. We are looking forward to it. We get to have electricity this time. Thanks to a generous “give-away” at the Redmond Rally where we were able to register for 1/2 price. Yes, living on Social Security makes it hard. But, we save every dollar we can for the gas tank. And we (especially my husband) has worked hard to keep our “Breezy” in good condition. We bought her new in 1999, and have put 154,000 plus miles on her. And she is a gas rig. We will be travelling about 1200 miles from our home to get there. And we are in way Northern CA where the gas prices have been over $4.10 per gallon all year. So we are grateful to get away from these prices. This is our 10th rally. Both Good Sam and FMCA. Driving to the rallies is so much fun. Being there is fun and relaxing – sometimes we volunteer, too. And we are not getting any younger, so we are going to go until we drop or the bank account is dry!!!

Can’t justify the price. Especially since we will already be in the area, not 5 miles from the site, where we camp every winter. They need a lesser price for local people who just want to drive their car over to participate for a day.

Oh I hope I can make it. Like Reg, I am 1200 miles from Pheonix and plan to stay in the midwest due to fuel expenses. Living on Social Security is not fun. I wish I were still working. However I look forward to my first Good Sam Rally. When I was working, I was to busy to go to one. Now I have all the time in the world, but I never realized how much I was ppaying out for my lifestyle. Anyhow I can hardly wait to meet so many other members.

Would be nice to go to on the way home but I don’t think so at those prices. It is nice to see it planed at that time of the year so snow birds on thier way home can stop over, but we also have high gas bills at that time of the year traveling 1500-2000 miles.
