Also as you search Colorado and click on a park’s listing, look for the “COVID-19 Campground Visitor Update” box as it displays the opening date. Keep in mind, some events and amenities may not be available.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife campgrounds began opening at Colorado’s state parks on May 12th. There will be a phased approach to reopening campgrounds. Colorado counties, municipalities and land management agencies continue to update their COVID-19 guidance including access limitations on a regular basis.
Consider visiting the magnificent scenery of colorful Colorado in areas close to home. This Safer-At-Home map shows what restrictions are in place for each county. Few states can compare to the stunning vistas, scenic byways, star-filled nights and evergreen scents of this mountain state.
