As a service to our readers we would like to pass on to you an opportunity that we recently learned about from one of our bloggers, Mark Polk, of RV Education 101.

RV Education 101 is taking one of their most popular DVD titles in their library (previously only available to RV Dealers) and giving it away for free this holiday season. Note that they do ask you to take care of the $5.95 shipping & handling fee.

The name of the DVD is “The RV Orientation.” It is 54 minutes long and packed with information on topics like campground setup, the LP gas system, water system, electrical system and much more. They have even added a bonus chapter on RV safety features and some bloopers to make it more entertaining. It applies to all types of RV’s, with the only exception being a pop-up.

If you’d like to learn more, you can view their promotional video below, or visit their site:

Hello, I just want to say thank you to Mark for making this DVD available. I think it is a very generous offer, considering the wealth of information. 54 mins of instruction is alot. I have the Class C Rental/Owner DVD. I have watched it dozens of times and continue to be amazed at how much information is there. I love the production of the video also, it’s like being right there with you. You and your wife have done a superb job! As a newbie to the RV lifestyle and a ‘fulltimer’ wannabee, your videos are invaluable. I can’t thank you enough! Best wishes and happy holidays! Rose

    Hmmm
Some people think that free for them excludes cost for sombody else.

5.95 Shipping and handling is a great deal. I ship alot of items I sell on E bay and believe me 5.95 for a 57 Min DVD is better than free.

I hope the people at RV Education 101 have a great Christmas and New Year.

Thanks for the offer of your DVD.

I am kind of surprised you guys would be upset at a shipping fee. It doesn’t look to me like they are trying to hide anything. I just ordered mine and can’t wait to see it.
Thank-you for offering this Mark. Happy Holidays to you too!

  6. Hi Don,

I am the owner of RV Education 101. We have been in business for 10 years and have helped over 100,000 RVers learn how to use and maintain their RV’s.

Don, I would have to disagree with you, this DVD truly is free. All of our full-length DVD’s are priced at $24.95 and $5.95 S&H. On this free RV DVD holiday offer we are charging our usual $5.95 to help offset the packaging, handling, processing and shipping charges. Personally I would have to say that $5.95 is a very reasonable S&H fee compared to other S&H fees I have experienced elsewhere.

In the past we have offered our DVD’s at $19.95 plus $5.95 S&H for the holiday season, but this year we decided to offer this DVD for free. Our DVD’s offer a great deal of information and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Happy Holidays from RV Education 101
    Mark

    Hi All,

Remember, nothing is for free. Having worked in the multi-media industry for some time, I know that a DVD can be sent for about $2.00. Keeping that in mind, I have not seen these videos and judged their quality or usefulness. If anyone has seen them, I would be interested in your thoughts on them. I currently have a 25′ travel trailer and would be most interested in RV’ing info on them.
    Thanks,
    Don

As I read the info on the free DVD (RV Education 101) and really got excited about getting it for there is so much that I need to learn or refreash me. As I get to the end of ordering the DVD, low and behold, there is a $5.95 S/H fee so much for being free.
