Explore Brunswick

Historic Downtown Brunswick has a variety of festivals and cultural events throughout the year, including open-air concerts, the Old Fashioned 4th of July at Mary Ross Waterfront Park, and Stewbilee, a celebratory cook-off featuring their delicious culinary trademark, Brunswick Stew. First Friday Downtown from 5 pm – 8 pm is another unique experience where the galleries and shops downtown open and serve wine & snacks.  Live music is often played in the pocket parks, also known as miniparks (urban open spaces on a very small scale).

Due to Brunswick’s flat terrain and pleasant climate you can enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. The average temperature in Brunswick is 68 degrees.  From May through September you will find temperatures in the 80’s.  It’s only in July where the average temperature is above 90.

You can walk or jog on paths and areas such as the Sidney Lanier Bridge, the Old Town Brunswick National Historic District, and the Mary Ross Waterfront Park. Local landmarks include Lover’s Oak, Historic downtown buildings, and the Marshes of Glynn.  Wildlife, birds and abundant foliage and flowers are abundant in the city and surrounding areas.
