Castle Gate RV Park features spectacular views and diverse adventures in historic Helper, Utah
Opening in the spring of 2019, Castle Gate RV Park offers huge sites which support the big rigs, cabins and tent space. Pets are welcome. We have WiFi, laundry facilities, a convenience store, restrooms, showers, dog run, river walk, horseshoe pit, playground and a covered pavilion with barbeque and a dishwashing station. We offer a splash pad, kayaking, and canoeing on the beautiful Price River which runs adjacent to our park. Fishing is available to tackle as well. We also have bike rentals and can facilitate ATV rentals.
Helper is located about halfway between Salt Lake City and Moab, on the East side of the Wasatch Mountains. It makes you feel like you have gone back in time for about 70years. You are both exhilarated and relaxed! It is not affected by the smog or temperature inversion that impacts the air quality of the Salt Lake City area, nor the craziness of Moab but is close enough to both for a day trip.
Experience Utah with your Friends and Family
Helper is only a few blocks away from Castle Gate RV Park and boasts historic downtown buildings set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains under the sentry of Balance Rock. Its art community is strong and growing with many galleries, studios, and shops. On the first Friday of every month Helper hosts a themed gallery stroll, featuring a costume contest, children’s activities, street vendors and more. It is an active railroad town, a great place for railroad photo ops, home of the Western Mining & Railroad Museum and offering scenic rail trips into Colorado.
Clear Creek Adventures offers bike tours, kayak trips and electric bikes to ride around town. Helper also provides restaurants, bars, stores, gas stations, a post office, a barber shop, a beauty salon, a dentist office, a clinic, a theater and bowling alley for you.
The Price River is in its final stages of restoration and by opening will be floatable from the north end of town down to the park for about four miles. The River is our swimming pool! The River Walk is several miles long and has a swinging bridge, an old chimney, a labyrinth, a beach and an option to take a very tall flight of stairs for added exercise.
