Warm up your RV and head to South Florida and Brighton RV Resort.
Have you been busy shoveling your driveway and sidewalks this winter? Have you been dreaming of warm weather, blue skies and sunshine? Have been itching to throw off your long johns, thermal socks and wool coats to don a pair of shorts, a bathing suit and flip-flops? Well then, warm up your RV and head to South Florida and Brighton RV Resort.
Originally developed in the 1960s, the 25-acre Brighton RV Resort was closed for remodeling after years of neglect and disrepair just four years ago. It reopened Memorial Day 2014, dazzling visitors with a fully-renovated venue. The resort underwent a “bottom up” renovation project from plumbing to utilities to landscaping, and now, offers visitors multiple options for resting, relaxing and recreating, including guest cabins and campsites complete with water, electric
and sewer hook-ups.
Brighton RV Resort’s RV park boasts 56 pull-in RV slots that can accommodate every size and class of RV. Motorhomes, van campers, mini-motorhomes and travel trailers are all welcome. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric hook-ups, as well as water and sewer. Even number slots have grills, and five plots are located on the beautiful banks of Lake Okeechobee.
No RV? No problem!
The full-scale renovation project included the development and construction of four brand new lakefront log cabins. Each cabin includes: one-bedroom with a queensize bed, bunk beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, two televisions with DirecTV and rocking chairs on the front porch to enjoy some of South Florida’s greatest assets — sunrise and sunset. The cabins are perfect for a guy’s weekend on Lake Okeechobee, a fun family getaway, or with the entrance to Everglades National Park just two hours away, the cabins also can serve as a quiet retreat to recharge and get back to nature.
Once you have settled on where you will stay at Brighton RV Resort, you can take advantage of all it has to offer. Visitors can bask in the sun at the new-resurfaced and expanded pool area, get their provisions at the 24-hour convenience store, wash their clothes in the laundry facility, catch up on the news and their emails in the recreation room, take a walk along 100 yards of peaceful lakefront along Lake Okeechobee, or drop a line in the water to catch one of the lake’s world class big mouth bass. Those RV enthusiasts who want to be pampered can check out Brighton Up Your Day spa, which features an array of services including hair, nails, tanning, massages and facials. Campers also can come in from nature to prepare for a night at the Seminole Brighton Casino.
Whether you want to “rough” it in the great outdoors or enjoy the natural world from the comfort of a front porch rocker, Brighton RV Resort has something for everyone.
