The 2018 Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, one of the state’s Louisiana’s largest free festivals, is scheduled for April 13- 15 , 2018. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry daiquiris, strawberry dumplings, fried strawberries, strawberry beer…no matter how you eat them, the berries are always sweeter in Ponchatoula.
This tiny town is prepared to host the hundreds of thousands of visitors that annually make their way to this Northshore community. Known as a family friendly event, the 47th Annual Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival will feature entertaining bands, exciting rides, and of course mounds of strawberries.
Strawberry eating contests, sack races, and egg toss competitions are just a few of the activities that will take place during festival weekend. Rides geared toward children of all ages along with non-profit food vendors are featured on the official festival grounds. Arts and craft vendors galore line the streets of this quaint city.
Entertainment all Weekend
A line-up of top notch musicians will perform beginning on Friday at 5:00 pm. Entertainment choices are endless during the weekend with two stages setting the scene for acts.
