I’m trying to get in touch with the Good Sam Directory staff…….which seems a difficult thing to discover how to do. I would think you would want to receive comments from members who find extreme difficulties with top rated parks. I’d appreciate an e-mail on how to do that.

One of your 10-10-10 rated Texas facilities is North Shore at Onlalaska, TX. We went out of our way to visit there due to the rating and were very disappointed. Why? It’s beautiful, no doubt; set on Lake Livingston with all paved sites. But we have a 40 ft MOTORHOME, and the Resort has only three or four sites (none of them pull-throughs) that our new unit would level on without jacking the front wheels off the pavement. Freightliner lists that situation as one to strictly avoid. We watched four other motorhomes attempt leveling on the pull-throughs and all gave up as we did. No matter how nice the facilities are, an RV Resort can’t be a 10-10-10 if you can’t level on the sites. That’s a complete deal breaker.

I have long thought Good Sam needs a directory for big rigs only, and North Shore is a perfect example of why. Fifth wheels can handle that resort without problems, but it is virtually unsuitable for big rigs. Please consider that or at least adding a 4th rating number for “Big Rig Friendly.”
