Whether you are traveling or at home, poor sleep will cost you.  I am not just talking about the cost to your wallet, although it is well documented that a poor sleep can lead to a whole host of medical conditions and consequently, could lead to more doctor’s visits.   I am also referring to the time and activity loss that occurs when you are not feeling up to your peak performance level.  While there are many causes of poor sleep, two of the greatest issues are an uncomfortable mattress and overheating of the body.  A recent Dutch medical study revealed that when the body temperature lowers a few degrees, people enter deep sleep stages longer and are less likely to awake early.  This is especially important, when you consider how deep sleep has been proven to help repair the body and balance hormone levels.  Whether you are uncomfortable during sleep from over heating, lack of support or pressure points, you can count on a lot of tossing and turning.  This in turn will prevent all stages of proper sleep.

Whether you spend a lot of time on the road in your RV or at home or just take short trips, your bed should be accommodating, as even just a few days of discomfort can set off consequences that will last much longer.  So, what should you do?  Well, to start with, whether we are talking about your home, a new RV or the one you have had for years, you may want to look at spending the extra up front cost to install a new mattress.  Of course, I can easily say this with conviction, having tried a new mattress called the Tempflow memory foam mattress.

The Tempflow mattress is a fairly new mattress innovation made by Relief-Mart, Inc., a company based in Southern California, that has been building mattresses for over 10 years and knows how to make a quality mattress to fit both RVers and home users alike.  The Tempflow mattress is their crown jewel of their memory foam mattress lines.  Whether it is a person looking for a cozy mattress for their RV or someone looking for a soothing mattress for their home that will help alleviate back, shoulder, neck or hip pain, there is a Tempflow mattress for them. Tempflow specializes in quality and customer care. All mattresses are made right here in the U.S.A. with the highest quality Biogreen® foam. Why is Biogreen® important? It is the cleanest foam anyone can buy, meaning you will not absorb any harmful chemicals such as PBDE, TDI, Boric Acid or Bromine from sleeping on this mattress. As a byproduct of Biogreen® being the most eco-friendly foam on the market, it does not contain the noxious and potentially hazardous smell, usually associated with new foam mattresses, hence making it the healthiest mattress to own.

“The best part is that the Biogreen memory foam is the next generation of memory foam, with unsurpassed comfort and durability according to the test data,” offered Dr. Rick Swartzburg, head of product development for Tempflow.  Aside from the Biogreen memory foam, Tempflow also uses a patented Airflow Transfer System that allows air to flow through the mattress, thereby allowing you to sleep more cool and comfortably.  Dubbed as the “mattress that breathes,” Tempflow accomplishes this by using many tiny surface holes that connect with channels underneath to allowing the air to circulate through the mattress surface and out the sides.  This is something that has been missing from traditional mattresses that attempt to bring airflow to the user, but have no full circulation to make this a reality,” said Dr. Swartzburg.  An online news publication called Space Daily also reviewed the mattress and did a side by side Tempur-Pedic Mattress Comparison and found that the Tempflow mattress was cooler for the testers.

For my part in writing this article and testing the mattress, I can personally state that for me, the Tempflow mattress did work as promised.  It was certainly the most comfortable RV mattress I have had the pleasure to test and did not cause me any overheating what-so-ever.  Remember, whether this is your RV or home bed we are talking about, you are going to spend plenty of time in it, so treat yourself to a restful night sleep. You might as well not even be on a vacation if you are going to be tossing and turning all night in a hot, uncomfortable, mattress that was installed to increase the manufacture’s bottom line.  I know you are concerned with your short term bottom line, but in the matter of cost, it will be worth every extra penny and cost you a lot less in the long term!
