The Seattle RV Show is currently taking place at Qwest Field. Celebrating its 48th year, this mega event was quite helpful when we chose our  Aerolite travel trailer  many years ago. We wanted to upgrade from our Coleman pop up trailer and decided that the best way to make our decision was to visit the show. Indeed, it was time well spent.

We were able to walk in and around countless models of travel trailers. While doing so, we got a great feel for what would work for our growing family. My husband was leaning towards a different model than I was.  I really wanted  the  Aerolite for a variety of reasons. First of all, it was lighter and easier to tow. Secondly, it was fairly compact to store, but the expandable beds on the end gave us more room when we were actually camping. I also loved the tentlike beds on the end, which give the feeling of being in a tent but offered the comfort of a camper.  When it came to sell my husband on that model, we sat in the camper and I pointed out various features. The salesman added his tidbits. By the end of the day, we had landed on that model.

We’ve had our camper for many years now and it has served us remarkably well. We’ve gleaned hundreds of memories and traveled, literally, THOUSANDS of miles with our Cub Aerolite in tow. So, if you are thinking of upgrading or buying a new rig, I advise you to visit a show if at all possible. It’s the best way to compare and contrast a variety of makes and models all in one day. You can easily speak to the knowledgeable sales reps and it’s easy to glean and gather tips and tools for your adventures ahead.
