If you leave cords or hoses outside during bad weather they can get really dirty. The first tip in this segment suggests an easy way to clean the cords and hoses using an oven mitt. When the weather calms down and you want to hang some decorations from your awning the second tip will help you with making clothes pins that are easy to use. With hot and humid conditions it can be hard to keep away mildew, but this video offers you a tip to keep the mildew away using a bucket of salt. Inside the RV the hardest decision can be on what brand of toilet paper to but that will be easy to flush. The last tip offers a simple guide to assess which brand is best for your pipes.

The oven mitt – cord cleaning idea is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. Although, I sent a link to my customer service team and it appears the video is no longer available on YouTube. Any chance you can reactivate so they can see it?

For cleaning the electric cord I use a Simonize (or any other brand) protectant automotive wipes instead of the mitt. This leaves the cord slippery so that it is easier to reel into the small space that I have available to store it in, then just toss it. These wipes are specifrically designed to clean and shine vinyl, plastic, rubber, and leather and they also protect against UV so I guess you could use it for the hose too. I’ll try it.
