“We are proud to partner with the Pocono Raceway for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup races,” said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World & Good Sam. “This is a great opportunity to sponsor the race weekend and to expose race goers to our broad selection of camping and tailgating products, which will be available at the Raceway at our on-site Camping World stores.”

Founded in 1966, the Good Sam Club is loosely-based on the biblical Good Samaritan who offered to help a traveler in need. Good Sam’s now-iconic halo and wide grin still signify camaraderie among members and their willingness to offer aid to fellow RVers. Today, the Good Sam Club is offering benefits such as 10 percent discounts at thousands of Good Sam Parks nationwide. The Good Sam Parks are inspected and rated annually according to an exclusive Triple Rating System to ensure each park is clean, safe and comfortable plus meeting quality standards.  The Good Sam Club also offers savings on RV insurance, road service, accessories, repairs, RV publications and more. New additional benefits are free camping certificates, the Golden Halo Savings program and additional Good Sam Parks across the country.

Membership in the Good Sam includes: guaranteed savings and discounts; fun, fellowship and VIP treatment; support, help and advocacy when you need it; and indispensable tools and resources. The discounts alone more than pay for your membership and the Good Sam Club satisfaction guarantee covers everything else included in your membership: the travel tools, technical tips, member forums, Highways magazine and all the perks that enhance your RV experience; making it safer, more practical and easier. Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service is the best value on the market today and the Good Sam RV Insurance is the most comprehensive RV insurance available and is designed for RVs, not autos.

“It is an honor and a privilege for Pocono Raceway to partner with Good Sam, the industry leader when it comes to RV products and services,” said Brandon Igdalsky, President, Pocono Raceway. “The RV locations at the track will be filled with Good Sam members. Our race fans will also have the availability to see new camping and tailgating products .”

The Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service 125 will air live on SPEED at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. August 6, 2011.  The Good Sam RV Insurance 500 will air live on ESPN at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 7, 2011. For ticket information, visit Pocono Raceway or call toll free 1-800-RACEWAY (1-800-722-3929)

Pocono Raceway is and always will be an attractive option for NASCAR and race fans alike.

Pocono Raceway is the world’s largest solar powered sports facility. The Raceway developed a 25 acre, three megawatt solar farm that provides the energy needs of the Raceway as well as adding electricity to the local power grid.

I think that it is SO cool, that Good Sam is sponsoring the NASCAR Pocono race! I, proudly, display my Good Sam sticker on my 39 foot Fleetwood diesel pusher motorhome, and have enjoyed the discounts that I’ve received when RVing around our region (Louisiana, Arkansas & Texas). We are season ticket holders, and season camping spots, at Texas Motor Speedway, and have been since they opened. We’re glad that you teamed up with Camping World, as there is a location only 15 minutes from Texas Motor Speedway, and we always take time to go to Camping World, while we’re at TMS. Keep up the good work!

Excited to go to the Good Sam NASCAR race in Long Pond, PA this weekend. Had trouble finding our way through the website to sign up so we called the “Membership Questions” line only to find out the good people that are there to answer any questions their members have don’t have access to this information. This message is to the CEO of Good Sam. Member services are your first line when it comes to members. Please keep them informed if you want members to come to events.
    Thanks for listening.

I went on the web site and I read the article that Good Sam is working with Pocono Raceway offering a 90% discount for infield parking at the track. I had ordered my parking pass on 6-25-2011 at a cost of 250.00 for 4 days parking. I called the track about the discount and was told the discount was only for parking from 6-25-2011 on. I called Good Sam and was told no refund for the difference in price would be available. Since I am a with group of 30 RVers we can’t wait until 12 days before the race to order infield parking passes. I feel Good Sam needs to review their program concerning this problem. Joe K
