Every RVer wants a clean vehicle, with gleaming countertops, spot-free windows and surfaces free of dirt and grime. Unfortunately, many cleaning products contain harmful toxins that can cause asthma, allergies or lead to serious diseases.

To complicate matters, the relatively confined quarters of a recreational vehicle only exacerbate the threat of harm. Don’t rely on the label to tell you what’s in that bottle of cleaner; only seven percent of cleaning products adequately disclose their contents, according to the Environmental Working Group, a consumer-advocacy organization that ranks cleaning products by levels of safety.

Consumers should be pro-active when it comes to shopping for cleaning products. According to research studies, RV shoppers looking for healthy cleaning products should avoid any products that contain anything from the following rogue’s gallery:

    • Petrochemical solvents
    • Ethoxylates
    • Sulfates
    • Synthetic fragrance
    • Alcohol
    • Artificial dyes
    • Parabens

Although you may have grown accustomed to the cleaners filled with these multi-syllabic chemicals, you may be surprised to learn that a few simple ingredients like baking soda, water and vinegar in the right combinations can do the job just as well.

Regardless of what cleaning products you use, safe storage is a must when you’re traveling with children. A study of emergency room visits showed that bleach and stain removers is one of the most common culprits when it came to accidental poisoning of children 5 and younger.

Eco-Me products give RVers a healthy, natural option with cleaning power that matches its toxic counterparts punch for punch. Eco-Me’s products are formulated to tackle a wide array of cleaning jobs.

For example, the All Purpose cleaner can be used on everything from gentle granite surfaces to hard dirt and grime. It is residue and streak free and comes in three different scents, all of which smell great. The toilet bowl cleaner can also be used as a soft scrub to clean sinks, showers and tubs.

Because each Eco-Me product is so diverse, RVers only need to travel with between one to three bottles. RVers save money by buying fewer products‑and conserve space by needing less storage area for cleaning products.

More importantly, Eco-Me products are easy on your health and on the environment. RVers can be confident that Eco-Me doesn’t violate campground laws or state rules that apply to other cleaning products.

Eco-Me is manufactured in the United States in Pacoima, California, at Eco-Me’s 4,000 SF facility. Using a local- and U.S.-only ingredient supply chain, Eco-Me practices full disclosure on ingredients and sourcing.

Eco-Me didn’t develop its health-conscious philosophy by coincidence. When Robin Kay Levine’s sister was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35, she researched environmental factors as a possible cause. As a result, Robin and co-founder Jennifer Mihajlov created products focusing on family health and wellness using premium quality ingredients for safe and effective cleaning.

Eco-Me has earned the certifications from the following companies and organizations:

    • Eco Scale for Whole Foods Market

    • Natural Products Association

    • Environmental Working Group

    • Green Seal

    • Leaping Bunny

    • PETA

Eco-Me can be found at any of Camping World’s 100-plus stores, and online.
