Just an hour east of Dallas, Mill Creek Ranch RV Resort is situated off I-20 and TX-19 on the way to Shreveport. It spreads out over 200 acres of woodland and has good gravel interior roads.
The park hosts 100 RV sites with concrete pads, full hookups (20/30/50 amp service) and handicap access. Pull-thrus measure 25×100’ and back-ins measure 24×50’ with room for slideouts. You’ll enjoy the park’s extra-clean bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities, as well as regular trash pick-up at your site.
You can be escorted to your site and the concierge service will help you get set up. Once you’re settled in, take the complimentary shuttle service across the road to the First Monday Trade Days marketplace so you don’t have to move your vehicle out of place.
Each site features a picnic table, fire ring, cable TV and WiFi Internet access. Your first night’s firewood is on the house! Bottled LP gas is available for purchase and the camp store stocks other items you may need during your stay.
Read the newspaper each morning or try a new book from the resort’s library. There’s an enclosed dog run for Fido to get some exercise during your stay. In the evening you can rent a video or just relax by the fire. Horseshoes and a rec hall and game room will keep your whole family entertained. Take a dip in the swimming pool or soak in the spa. The stream-fed pond provides opportunities for fishing right in the park, or you can stroll along the nature trails for a bit of fresh-air exercise. Area Attractions: You must go to the massive open-air market, “First Monday Trade Days”—it’s the largest in the world with more than 7000 vendors and a quarter million visitors. For over 150 years folks have gathered in Canton on the first Monday of each month to buy and sell goods. There are plenty of attractions nearby so stay a while!
Climate: It’ll be hot in the summer months, upward of 90°F. Remember to stay hydrated and take it easy now and then. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and your favorite hat—or pick up a new one at the Trade Days marketplace!
