KOA Circus Circus in Las Vegas, NV has a great fenced dog park with playground equipment for dogs and even a separate fenced area for more ‘active’ dogs that don’t socialize well. Doggie bags are provided and there’s also tables and chairs for owners.

I think “pets” are a way that private campground owners have found to increase revenue. Charging an extra fee ($1 to $2 per dog, for instance) from pet owners who DO control their animals and who DO pick up after them is outrageous. Pet owners need to respect other campers’ space and quiet hours. My feeling is that most campers have high regard for well trained animals and enjoy the opportunity to meet and greet them.
One service that would help pet owners is a “day care” center where pets could stay while their owners are visiting “pet prohibited” venues such as museums, National Park trails, and the like. Of course, there would be a cost, but it could be a nominal amount and still provide net income to the provider. FWIW.

I think this subject should specifcally refer to “dogs”. As far as I know, they are the only pets that leave the RV at a campground. We have two cats and, if they ever go outside, it’s tethered to a table or the RV. Haven’t seen any other types around
