This video clip from RV Today deals with flushing the tanks. Stew Oleson and Bill Gehr show you a way to flush your tanks right from the holding tank so you dont have to stick a tube down the toilet. Be sure to consult a professional about your rig model, to ensure the best way to install new flush valve.

The job looks easy and it probably is, but, I would use care with that hole saw and go slowly when drilling through. Losing the “slug” in the tank could cause it to interfere with the slide valve and Oh Boy!! what a job that would create. I would also suggest letting the silicone set up for a few minutes before installing to eliminate any gap that would let liquid leak out.

Very informative fellas! Good job! Do you have anything on installing one on a Travel Trailer that has an enclosed underbelly? Have a 2006 Rockwood 8318SS and would like to do something very clean/sanitary looking? Suggestions? Thanx, Marc
