Located in the middle of Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees, on the Grand Neosho River in the foothills of the Ozarks. This area has five state parks around a winding, scenic shoreline with many marinas, boat rentals and golf courses including the Shangri-La Luxury Golf Resort. You will also find museums with antiques, cars, and an old village nearby. A wide range of restaurants from fine dining to casual eateries are within a short distance. Native fish species include large-mouth bass, white bass, channel catfish, crappie and bluegill are yours to catch. Fishing guides and lake cruises are available.

Easy access is provided with 100% concrete roads and RV pads with patio and picnic tables attached to each one. Monkey Island RV Resort has 73 spaces available, 34 of which are pull-thru. Maximum length is 85’, width is 45’. Sites provide 30 and 50 amp service with water and sewer hookups. Folding tent campers are also allowed. The grounds also offer clean private showers, and a complimentary breakfast to help you get out fast and easy on your days’ adventures. WiFi is also available for your use.

In addition to being a pet-friendly park complete with a dog park for your pooch, the grounds also have multiple unit laundry facilities. No need to hunt for that laundromat.

Your stay includes the use of the large (1600 sq. ft.) clubhouse. Enjoy a cup of fresh coffee with your morning paper or get a snack, a soda or an ice cold beer from the snack bar or mini-store, which conveniently provides all the little things you forgot or ran out of on your trip.
