Last minute preparations are underway as the Good Sam Rally staff work feverishly to greet thousands of RVers descending on the 2012 Louisville Rally, presented by DISH, June 21 – 24, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. And thanks to the superior Rally site in Bluegrass Country, there’s still room for last-minute reservations.

Unlike other Rally venues, all of the activities including the exhibit area, the daily seminars and the evening entertainment, take place under one air-conditioned roof. A fabulous program awaits – four nights of entertainment featuring superstar Grammy winner Sheryl Crow, Grammy award-winning composer and musician Burt Bacharach, country music favorites Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, and an ongoing Elvis impersonation contest with a planned appearance by the King himself (or a reasonable facsimile).

There will be the latest and greatest new RVs of all shapes and sizes on display, representing popular brand names such as Thor, Winnebago, Newmar, Fleetwood, Tiffin, Jayco, Keystone, Heartland, Crossroads and more! Hundreds of booths displaying RV gadgets, accessories and services will be open each day. Seminars presented by the RV community’s leaders and experts will also take place, including popular Trailer Life and Motorhome magazine publisher, Bob Livingston. Propane safety, RV tires, improving engine performance, crafts, healthy cooking and eating on the road are just some of the 130-plus seminars included in the Rally fee. Kids and grandkids will be kept busy with the Rally’s highly regarded full children’s program. And Rally-goers’ traveling pups aren’t left out, as they compete in the popular dog show and pet parade. There will even be a Rally “Bark Park”, where pooches can make new RVing friends while doing their business.

A new addition to this Rally will be the new Good Sam Culinary Experience. Popular Food Network chef Bob Blumer (aka The Surreal Gourmet) will be demonstrating how to prepare quick, easy and healthy food with his innovative recipes both in the galley and on the grill.

The Rally will also take the time to honor our military veterans at our new Veterans’ Salute, sponsored by Coast to Coast. Veterans will be invited to march with their branch of service as we recognize the sacrifices and efforts they have made on behalf of our country.

Louisville is located in a fascinating part of the country, and Rally-goers can take advantage of a plethora of optional tours of the area including local farms, wineries, a bourbon distillery, historic Bardstown, the Kentucky Derby and Louisville Slugger museums, a cruise on the Ohio River, and even a stop at the Zappos.com outlet store for some great bargains. The RV Safety and Education Foundation will be offering their RV Safety Driving Class, from which participants may qualify for discounts on their insurance.

There are day passes available for those members who are visiting or who live in the Louisville area and may not have the time to enjoy four full days of the Rally. Discounts on day passes are available to members at TheRally.com to learn more.

There’s still time to register for the Louisville Rally, and it’s easy to do so. Just visit TheRally.com, or call us at 1-800-701-1399.
