Yes, this RV Park is new, and it’s right on the top of a hill just outside of Fort Stockton, Texas along I-10. You’ll love the wide open views of the Texan Wild West, but you’ll especially like sitting around the gathering place and fire pit. You’ll get the benefit of a fantastic sunset (that is if you’re here at sunset time!) and probably an equally stunning sunrise. They say it has to do with the western dust in the air from the often windy days. Maybe it’s meant to be a nice reward for us if we have to drive through some West Texas wind. Stay in this park and you’ll feel like you are way out in the country, but you’ll be close to shopping and restaurants in Fort Stockton. “Texas friendly” is standard here and you’ll want to stay awhile because there actually are some nice drives to take in the area. Sometimes it’s just nice to kick back and stay somewhere along your route for a few extra days and this area is really fun to explore. The mountain backdrop reminds me of the old TV Westerns. I can picture the horses racing to the edge of the plateau and stopping cold with dirt and dust flying everywhere. I might have a little bit of a Western fantasy going on because of Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty’s telling him to be careful and all. Yes, those were the days. OK, back to here and now. You’ll love the Hill Top RV Park of Fort Stockton, Texas.

Because they are so new, they are not in Woodall’s yet. Directions: 1 mile west of Hwy 18 on I-10 (exit 257), then 1-1/2 mile West on North Service Rd.

I’ve looked and looked and can’t find directions for the Hilltop RV Park in Fort Stockton. Is it east or west of Fort Stockton, and which exit is it on? North or south of IH 10?
