The truth is that I don’t remember much about my first RV experience. I was born May 13, 1949. My father was a welder and when I was just two or three months old, my parents bought a trailer and followed construction until 1955. So I started my life off as a full timer. That was the end of full timing, but it was not the end of RVing. We rented and bought RVs from then on. My life has now gone full circle. My husband is going to retire in December and we are now living full time in a Durango fifth wheel waiting to hit the road. I love it . it must be in my blood.

I definitely think it is some people’s blood. I grew up camping & RVing. My parents had various truck campers. Then my first camper was a truck camper. From there I’ve owned two pop-ups (one with a shower indoors) and then a 28 1/2 foot Class C. It was a 3-year-old creme puff when I bought it. I’d have lived in it full time if it weren’t for my 16-year-old daughter moving back in after living with her dad for a spell.
My current husband and I bought a used Gulf Stream class A (I met him online when he was working for an RV dealer) and soon decided we need one more suited for “living” in.
He took early retirement a year and a half ago and we sold our house and moved into our 2006 class Damon Challenger with 3 slides. We work part time creating guest services guides at campgrounds for AGS Publishing. We love our new lifestyle. The part-time work helps support our lifestyle and we’re saving up for our dream coach… a 2009 American Coach Allegiance. Now that we’re full-timers I want a bigger fridge, washer/dryer & dishwasher (because we work as we travel).
This has been my life long dream and I’m finally living it. I was fortunate to find my soul-mate who is enjoying this journey with me. Our home-base is a campground near our granddaughters. Life is good!
