With Springtime arriving, Mother Nature is unleashing a fresh barrage of pollen upon our helpless vehicles. Keeping our own tow vehicle SEEMORE from turning pastel yellow is a Sisyphean task, but our California Car Duster (http://goo.gl/ySA4Wl) helps fight the battle.
California Car Dusters have been around for many years. Quite simply, they work. In fact, they work great!
The original 15-inch model became so popular, the company released a smaller model called the California Mini Duster (http://goo.gl/VwhvFa). You can even buy the original with a robust wooden handle (http://goo.gl/wTmm3e) if you want an upgrade from the standard plastic.
California Dusters consist of special baked on paraffin wax-treated 100% cotton strands. When brisked across a vehicle surface, these dusters harmlessly lift away dust. There’s no fear of scratching the paint beneath.
The dusters lightly glide across vehicle surfaces, lifting away dust and pollen as they go. Used regularly, a California Duster reduces the necessity of vehicle washings.
Note that California Dusters are not washing or shampooing products. In fact, you should never wash a California Duster. Washing the duster could remove the paraffin treatment from the cleaning strands. When it’s time to clean excess dust off the duster, I merely shake it outside and watch the dust cloud drop.
The weird thing about these dusters? Many people report that “the dirtier they get, the better they work.” And they do get dirty. Any doubts about how well they are working will be quickly dispelled once you see how much dirt sticks to the strands.
We’ve owned our California Car Duster for more than a decade and it’s still going strong. I keep it handy in our garage and whisk it over our vehicles from time to time.
If you have room for it (and it doesn’t take up much room) a California Duster is a welcome addition to any garage.
