Since all RVs are “storage challenged” (in politically correct parlance), being able to neatly store your belongings is a key to enjoying your travel. One of the most useful purchases we’ve made towards the goal of organization is velcro ties (http://goo.gl/UNT42g). No, I’m not talking about velcro neckties (although that’s a GENIUS idea!). I’m talking about velcro cable ties.

Velcro cable ties are cheap, effective, and will clean up just about any area infiltrated by cables.

Wait – what the heck are velcro cable ties? These are little strips of nylon and velcro that are designed to curb cable clutter. They are used to bundle together loose cables into neat and tidy bundles. Since they are made with velcro, they are quick and easy to use. They are also reusable.

What kind of cables get lassoed by velcro cable ties? USB cables, HDMI cables. Mini HDMI cables, Ethernet cables. Power cables. Pretty much any cable that’s easily bendable can benefit from a velcro cable tie.

We use the ties not only for cables that are in storage, but also on those extra bits of loose cable that sometimes dangle from the back of our TV, GPS, or other electronic devices. If you have cables, you can benefit from these ties.

Best of all, they are cheap – only around $6 for a pack of 100.

The ties come in rolls of 100. (click the pic formore info.)

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to lasso some runaway cable, pardner…
