Good Sam actively updates our website with the latest information regarding private campground openings. Visit our Guide to COVID-19 RV Park and Campground Openings page for a list of Good Sam Parks that are now open and accepting overnight guests. Also as you search our campgrounds and click on a park’s listing, look for the “COVID-19 Campground Visitor Update” box as it displays the opening date. Keep in mind, some events and amenities may not be available.

Oregon: This Beaver State is home to Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States. And Portland has more breweries than any other city in the world. On June 3rd, Governor Kate Brown shared her framework as the state approaches phase 2 of Brown’s “Safer and Stronger Oregon” plan. Reach out directly to the park for possible restrictions, travel advisories and information about how to camp safely.  Check the individual state for the latest information on COVID-19 related announcements.

Washington: The most northwestern state offers up amazing wineries, alpine vistas, rolling hills and gorgeous archipelago, providing unforgettable opportunities to view art and orcas. The Evergreen State is also home to abundant evergreen forests, wetland estuaries, rich with opportunities for outdoor activities. On May 29, Gov. Jay Inslee released an updated, county-by-county based “Safe Start” reopening plan for resuming recreational, social and business activities. Check updates from the state for the latest updates and possible restrictions.

Idaho: Known for having the most whitewater river miles in the lower 48 states, The Gem State’s whitewater rafting trips are arguably the best anywhere.  And in the winter, Sun Valley in southern Idaho attracts skiing enthusiasts from all over. Hiking enthusiasts can also rejoice with over 750,000 wildland acres within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area alone. As always, wherever you travel, check with the state agency and campground for the latest information.
