So I like to go RV-ing.
Don’t we all?
Even more, when I’m trying to get cozy after a long day out on the open road in my RV, one of my favorite things to do is watch a good movie with the family. There is nothing quite better than kicking your feet up, turning on the TV in your RV’s living area and enjoying a great flick before hitting the hay.
Perhaps the greatest drawback to enjoying such an experience–it’s not exactly inexpensive to set up a quality entertainment center in your RV. And if you’re like me, one of the things which driven me nuts when it comes to the RV lifestyle is how expensive RV satellites are.
With that said, if you’re like me then you like to do everything you can to save a buck or two. Even more, I would have never guessed I would actually be able to cut costs when it comes to RV satellites.
I recently had the opportunity to attend the National RV Show in Louisville. As I was walking through the vendors’ area, I happened to stumble upon a booth from Dish Network. They were at the event promoting their new RV satellite – the Tailgater Satellite.
After speaking with representatives from their company, I’ll be honest; I was blown away.
I have to admit. This is one of the most unique looking RV satellites I’ve ever stumbled across. With that said, it’s also one of the lightest and even better, most affordable out there. This bad boy is also ideal for camping, tailgating, and even the occasional backyard cookout! It comes with a satellite antenna and an HD solo receiver. It’s also fully automatic and can get you connect with a huge selection of premium HD channels.
Needless to say, my family and I were more than impressed and ended up purchasing one. We were even able to buy a handy ladder-mount bracket so we could hook it up to the back of our motorhome.
I not normally a fan of reviewing products, but the Tailgater is such a new and innovative entertainment option, I wanted to share it, especially since it’s still fresh to the market.
So if you’re like me and enjoy saving a few dollars here and there when RV-ing, then the Tailgater Satellite might be worth checking out.

That’s a great addition, to have extra space for your camping gear. Just don’t forget to put that propane camp stove in there.
