RV Cooking Show – Port A and Gulf Shrimp

April 17, 2008

Port Aransas, or Port A as the locals call it, enjoys a year ‘round RV crowd. There are the “summer people” – families, young weekenders and summer seasonals then there’s the “Winter Texans” as they call snowbirds down that way. No matter how you slice it, Port A is a great place to spend some quality time on the shore. The scenery is fabulous and there’s plenty to do – including the eye-popping Texas SandFest Sand Sculpting Festival that takes place every April. Hop on the Port Aransas ferry with me and my RV and we’ll nose around all the fun places to see in town.

We’ll pick up some shrimp – and they are known for their fat and fabulous gulf shrimp – and we’ll whip up some Sensational Shrimp & Asparagus. Although it may seem fancy-dancy it tastes well, sensational!
