Nestled in the northeastern plain of North Carolina, Williamston is a small but vibrant town. Williamston is only 40 minutes from Greenville, and is not far from Albemarie Sound and the beach.
Williamston boasts a moderate climate, with its highest temperature average only reaching 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Year-round, it remains somewhere between 34 and 89 degrees Fahrenheit. The town has a long history related to horses and equine industry and continues to host rodeos, tractor pulls, and horse shows at one of the largest agricultural centers in Eastern North Carolina, the Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center.
Each year, thousands of people come to Williamston for the annual Carolina Country Stampede. This two-day festival in September features local businesses, vendors, food, and musical guests.
