When you’re in far west Texas, be sure to stop at the Van Horn KOA in Van Horn, Texas. This park also has a great café with a unique roasted chicken dish you will think came from a TV chef. The owner just grins and shrugs when I ask for the recipe. The Van Horn KOA is so convenient with long pull thrus and WiFi throughout; you’ll want to stay for weeks. If you are really, really tired when you get there, just call the café, order and they will deliver right to your rig. Spoil me why don’t you! They call this convenient service “Meals on Wheels”. The office has a computer station if you need it and boasts a terrific store, too. Van Horn seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but you’ll be amazed at how pretty it is around here. It looks like the real west like we knew in the old cowboy movies and TV shows.  When you’re heading across I-10 in west Texas, be sure to make the Van Horn KOA your resting place.
