I agree with everyone above. In addition they gouge you to park your vehicle. It has gone from $5 (which was too much) to between $10 and $15. I will not go to the shows anymore. I don’t need to pay to have some condescending, unknowledgeable try to hound me into buying their defect laden, overpriced, deceptively shiny and spakley money pits on wheels.

I have been RV’g for 60 years, since 1948 in a little teardrop like rig my Dad made and towed with our 46 Ford sedan. I never encountered such deception in the RV industry as I have in the past 10 years. It is so sad and so madening to have such a family oriented thing infected with lies and deception.

I have not been to trade show in over 10 years, refuse to pay to inspect the dealers offerings. I know there is more information, campgrounds and sites of interest, available, but can get that on line or direct from magazine postcard mailer.

They charge for trade shows simply because they can, and for no other reason, if people refused to pay they would stop. just stay away froma trade show or two and tell them why you didn’t attend and they will stop chargeing. They write off what it costs them, then they charge you and the end result is its a freebee for them, and we pick up the tab.

I agree with John, I hate to pay to go to these shows. Dealers claim that they have to pay to attend these shows so they charge us. That is part of the cost of doing business, just like paying rent at their lots, and it is a tax deduction for them.

No one should pay admission to any trade show. Just pay attention to the name: TRADE show. This isn’t like going to a car show to observe all the pretty show cars that are not for sale. Paying admission to a trade show is like paying admission to go to a dealer’s lot to examine their wares in that facility. Let’s face it, the dealers are attending the trade shows to sell you a product. One shouldn’t be any more willing to pay admission to a trade show to shop for a vehicle than to pay admission to go to the dealer’s home location to shop for a vehicle. “Just don’t make no sense to me.”
