Find your way online with the RV Road Trip Planner, powered by Rand McNally and showcasing the 2,200-plus Good Sam Parks. Launched this summer on the GoodSamClub.com website, the Road Trip Planner maps out travel routes throughout the United States and Canada. RVers simply input the trip’s point of origin and destination, and the Road Trip Planner creates an itinerary that suits their travel tastes.
The Road Trip Planner’s Search feature allows RVers to find new places to stop along the way, and the Campgrounds button lets them look up RV parks along the route. Filters let users select only Good Sam Parks, indicated by pins that bear the distinctive red Good Sam logo. The Things to Do button shows the locations of Camping World stores, restaurants, museums, sporting venues and other attractions.
The Trip Manager feature makes it easy to add or subtract stops along the route and choose routes that avoid highways or toll roads. Estimated mileage and drive times are also provided, and a handy calculator gives RVers the approximate cost of fuel consumption. Users can print out each trip, email it to friends and export it to the Good Sam GPS to go from the planning stage to hitting the road.
In all, the Trip Planner has access to the 14,500 RV parks and campgrounds listed in the top-selling Good Sam RV Travel Guide & Campground Directory, printed annually. Included with each park listing is the exclusive Good Sam 10/10*/10 Triple Rating.
