Our favorite Travel-Friendly gift ideas…

Being a travel savvy family, we wanted to share our favorite travel-friendly finds that fit in with our on-the-move lifestyle.  Here we’re sharing some of our favorite travel-friendly products that would make great gifts, whether you live in a stationary house or one that moves about…

FOR KIDS:
Magformers:
These fun, educational, colorful building toys are super for all ages!  These construction toys are unique; they are very powerful magnets that are encased in brightly colored, durable plastic.  Magformers come in 14 geometric shapes in 9 bright colors.  There are 65 different components available, which range from simple shapes to remote controlled wheel sets.  Magformers have won several awards for their ingenuity and are great for free play.
Magformers are super for both in the house, and on the road; the pieces stick together so they don’t take up much space and don’t get lost under the seat.  They are durable, and you can use them anywhwhere; no flat surface needed, and they stay in the shape made thanks to such strong magnetic forces.  (our more indepth review can be found at: TicknorTribe.com ).

Audio Dramas:
We love to listen to audio dramas while traveling long distances (think old time radio shows with different voices and sound effects).  Our favorites are:  Lamplighter Theatre (Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince is my fav drama of all time!) and Focus on the Family Radio Theatre (we’ve totally worn our our Narnia set! LOL!).  Both are available on cds or as digital downloads.

FOR MOM:

Also, I love my Fagor 3-in-1 Multicooker.  This gets a work-out in our house; it’s a rice cooker, crock-pot (slow cooker), and pressure cooker (great if you’ve been too busy out in the great outdoors to remember to start dinner on time) all in one, so it’s a great space-saver in the RV!  I bought a stainless steel insert as we try not to use Teflon, and we use it several times a week.

FOR DAD:
How about a GPS that is customizable to your RV specs!!!!  Check out the Garmin RV 760LMT!  This specially designed GPS is programmable to your RV specs (height, length, weight), which is super helpful for those of us with bigger rigs (we run a 9 ton, 42′ long 5th wheel toy hauler).  We’ve been in instances where we have had to back up extended amounts thanks to a GPS that took us down a road where we didn’t fit under an overpass, and another that nothing but a Jeep should have been on!   We love the customization for our size and travel preferences, and appreciate the security of mind given from knowing that the road ahead can take our tribe!  😉
