New Good Sam Parks: Explore More Nearby

With more and more people opting outside, it’s a great time to share that there are now over 20 new Good Sam parks added to the list, giving campers more opportunity to save and camp close to home.

Bayshore RV Park, Tokeland, Washington: Located on the Willapa Bay, Tokeland is centrally located to Westport, Grayland, Raymond and South Bend. With 400 feet of private beach and a choice between waterfront or tree filled camp sites, this is the destination for water-filled adventures. Head north on Highway 105 and you’ll come upon 18 miles of ocean beaches stretching through Tokeland and the northern towns of Grayland and Westport. Visit these oceanside towns for awesome surfing, clamming, sport fishing and whale watching. Fish lovers might want to stroll the Tokeland Marina, where Nelson Crab offers wild seafood including Dungeness crab, wild salmon and fresh clam chowder. Take the coast about 30 minutes east to South Bend and enjoy the scenic shores of the Willapa River. Willapa Bay offers an incredible opportunity to view nature at its best. Don’t forget to try the famous Willapa Bay oysters!

Fremont River RV Park, Loa, Utah: Located between Capitol Reef National Park and Fishlake National Forest, this park is a great home base for excellent hiking, mountain biking and site seeing. Capitol Reef is a hiker’s dream. Located about 30 miles from the park, Boulder Mountain is one of two major high-elevation lake areas in Utah.  Sprawling over an expansive 50,000 acres, outdoor enthusiasts have more than 80 lakes and ponds from which to choose. There you can enjoy ATV’ing, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. Try your angling hand at large brook trout at one of the many high-alpine lakes. A popular lake for families is Lower Bowns Reservoir, a 125-acre lake located several miles off of Highway 12, offering incredible views of the Henry Mountains. Kodiak Mountain Resort, Afton, Wyoming: Located at the base of the Salt River Mountains, Kodiak Mountain Resort provides adventure and luxury. Whether it’s fishing, horseback riding, hiking in the summer and fall, each season provides exceptional opportunity for a number of outdoor activities. Choose between several deluxe cabins, with outdoor therapeutic hot tubs. Brazos Trail RV Park, Riesel, Texas: This family friendly park also happily accepts your furry friend. This Riesel RV park offers over 80 pull through sites,18 back in sites and a dog park. Waco is located just 17 miles from the park, where you’ll find mountain biking, shopping, wineries, distilleries and craft breweries. Cameron Park is a 416-acre park, featuring towering live oaks, stunning bluffs overlooking the Brazos and Bosque Rivers and a National Recreation Trail system. Back in Riesel, the Brazos Ballroom functions as a premier venue for parties, bridal and baby showers and family reunions.

Freedom Lives Ranch RV Resort, Buchanan Dam, Texas: Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, close to Austin and San Antonio, this new RV resort especially caters to your four-legged family members. Bolivar Peninsula RV Park, Crystal Beach, Texas: Under new ownership, this RV park includes a new 7,000 square-foot dog park, new WiFi system, new bath house and online booking. Centrally located in Crystal Beach on Bolivar Peninsula, campers can enjoy miles of sun, surf and sand with a country-like beach atmosphere. Take a free, 18-minute ride on the ferry between Bolivar Peninsula and Galveston Island. Or, take your clubs to The Ranch at Crystal Beach, a par 36, nine-hole golf course. QRV Victoria, Victoria, Texas: Located just 30 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, this top-rated pet friendly RV resort boasts a sparkling swimming pool, jacuzzi, clubhouse BBQ areas. Victoria offers shopping, restaurants, parks, and museums. Visit nearby the Rockport-Fulton area for historic landmarks and clear blue waves and a sandy beach.
