I am sure many fellow motorhomers have retracted their jacks to find that the expensive chrome-covered mudflap under the rear bumper had hit the ground when the coach was lowered. Although it is hanging by chains with some slack to prevent this, there have been times when mine became wedged under the motorhome. My solution was to have my copilot hold the mudflap up at an angle while I retracted the jacks. Needless to say, this did not go over very well with her, so I devised a simple hanger to hold it up using a strong piece of wire (a coat hanger will do). I bent the wire over the hitch, and then bent the two ends up so it would hold the mudflap.
