In 1962 we purchased a 16ft. Nomad travel trailer. We had it built to accomodate our needs. We gave up a closet to have a toilet with holding tank and enough beds to sleep 7. We had 5 sons, ages 9,8,7,4 and a new baby born in 1962. Camping became our life from then to present. Those years built a foundation of close family. Now its has become family vacations which include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of MANY memories was when we were traveling thru the Badlands in South Dakota and one of the boys woke up from a nap and asked,”Is Daddy landing on the moon?” In 1970 #6 son arrived and we purchased a larger travel trailer. We will be celebrating our 60th Wedding Anniversary in September and following it we will be leaving in our 2000 Winnebago motorhome for more family vacations. We could write a book of memories.
